Below you will find the richest clubs in FM 23, i.e. those with the highest transfer budgets available to buy new players at the start of your Football Manager 2023 season.

Real Madrid – €103 million

The Blancos are the club to bet on in Football Manager if you want to invest a lot of money, because they won the last Champions League and have an excellent track record. The Merengues remain the right team to score big goals, partly due to the salary cost of €5.5 million per week, even after selling Casemiro and giving up particularly expensive signings.

Manchester City – €102 million

102 million euros are available to invest in finding successors to Gundogan and De Bruyne, adding to an already excellent youth base that includes players such as Foden, Haaland and Alvarez. The club in Mansour’s vast and complex, ever-expanding galaxy has a wage bill of nearly 6 million euros per week. It is also the club with the largest available budget, together with Real.

Brighton – €81 million

The Premier League is clearly the driving force among the five teams with the highest budgets, with the inclusion of Brighton as one of the outsiders in the list of historically significant clubs in English football representing perhaps the biggest shock.

The Seagulls’ transfer budget was increased dramatically with the sales of Bissouma, Maupay and Cucurella, reaching €81 million (with a reduced wage bill, however, compared to the other aforementioned clubs).

Paris Saint Germain – EUR 80 million

PSG’s inclusion among the teams with the greatest capacity to invest in the market is less shocking than Brighto. Al Khelaifi’s team may be quick to make noteworthy signings, but they also have the highest wage budget in the league, in addition to their €80 million transfer budget.

With no competition problems, this will be the key to matching Mbappé, Messi and Neymar as ideal partners (at least on the economic front).

Newcastle – EUR 46 million

Newcastle, a team that can dream big and bet on great players to join the team, completes our top five. Newcastle has finally entered the elite, at least in economic terms.

The Magpies’ budget is ‘reduced’ compared to the first opening of the market due to the huge amount of money already spent during the summer session, but this fact will not prevent them from considering major investments (also thanks to a wage bill of almost 3 million per week).
